Hercules S.A. at the Siekierki Cogeneration Plant in Warsaw
We are building a staircase and a roof structure for the complete “ProAsh” ash separation plant at the Siekierki Cogeneration Plant in Warsaw under a contract with PM Technologies Sp. z o.o.
For this purpose, we are using a “Terex Demag CC 2800” caterpillar crane with a 600 ton lifting capacity, with the following configuration: an SW with a 6-meter main jib length, a 36-meter long extension jib and a 240-ton ballast.
The joint venture consisting of PGNiG Termika S.A. and Lafarge Cement S.A. Holcim has been established to build and operate a fly ash separation plant using a patented technology of electrostatic separation of minerals. The separation process produces two streams of ash: one containing less than 5% of combustible particles (“proash”), the other containing approx. 30-40 % of such particles (“hi-carbon”). The expected capacity of the plant will handle approx. 190,000 tons of fly ash produced by the Siekierki Cogeneration Plant. Proash with low carbon content is a highly valued raw material for production of cement and concrete. Lafarge contributes to the project its experience and knowledge in environment-friendly ash recycling technologies.
