Installation of the boiler in the new Power Station EC Fortum in Zabrze

Under the contract from the company ZRE Katowice S.A., we are carrying out installation of the new multi-fuel boiler at the construction site EC Fortum in Zabrze.

This task is carried out with the tracked crane Terex Demag CC 2500 of the lifting capacity Q = 500 tons in configuration: SWSL with the length of primary boom 72 m + secondary boom 36 m + ballast 240 tons.

In the new electrical power and heating station EC Fortum the energy will be produced in a flexible, multi-fuel boiler with the circulative fluidized bed made by the company Amec Foster Wheeler. The new energy source will be adopted to burning coal, alternative fuel (RDF – Refuse Derived Fuel) and biomass, with the possibility to use a mixture of these fuels. Additionally, the boiler will be equipped with a modern, complex exhaust gas after treatment system, which will limit emissions of harmful  substances.
