Construction of railway connector Kraków Zabłocie - Kraków Krzemionki

Within this investment, two railway tracks will be constructed on overpasses of total length 2.6 km (track no 1 – 1.2 km and track no 2 – 1.4 km) between railway tracks Kraków Główny – Medyka and Kraków Płaszów – Oświęcim. The railway overpasses will connect the modernized and rebuild passenger train stops Kraków Zabłocie and Kraków Krzemionki.

Since the beginning of the project, which at the time being is the biggest investment in Kraków, Herkules S.A., under the contract from the companies Mostostal Zabrze and Mostostal Kraków, plays an active part in carrying out works connected with installation of steel structures for the objects WK-1, WK-2, ES-1 , ES-2A , ES -2B and PM-K.

At particular stages of works, installation was and is carried out with the use of the cranes: Grove GMK 7450 , Liebherr LTM 1250 and Grove GMK 4075.

Steel structures of the spans are produced among others in Wytwórnia Konstrukcji Stalowych Mostostal in Kraków, next they are separated into sections of the length ca. 16 – 30 meters end delivered to the construction site. Installation, with use of the crane Liebherr LTM 1250, has been planned on the temporary and destined supports. After installation, the span sections will be connected together and the temporary supports will be finally removed.
